How to Install OtO
The zip version
For the zip version just unzip it on your mobile device in any directory you like. Make sure you have OtO.exe and OtO.config in the same directory and all the images in a sub-directory called images.
The cab version
To install a .CAB file:
- Copy it to your device, I always use storage card\cabs for this but any folder will do.
- Then run the cab, tell it where you want to install, the popup is not an error message but just to tell you what software was used to create the cab.
(Thanks Maggy for the effort of writing this)
How can I change the language of OtO ?
- Download OtO language packs
- unzip the content in the directory where OtO.exe exists (make sure to keep the folder structure as is)
- Run OtO
At startup OtO will automatically pickup the language of your ROM and select it as its default language. If your ROM language is not yet supported by OtO, it will run in English.
To run OtO in a different language than the one of your ROM, open OtO.config with your favorite text editor and change the value of Language key from OtO to the 2 letter code of the desired language found below.
Currently supported languages: Portuguese (pt), French (fr), German (de), Spanish (es), Greek (al), Danish (da), Italian (it) & Polish (pl)
Can I minimize OtO ?
In the OtO.config file you will find a key called Minimize
- If set to false then the soft key will be mapped to an Exit button.
- If set to true then the soft key will be mapped to a Minimize button & the “x” button will be set to quit OtO
Can I map OtO to a soft button ?
- In your registry, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Microsoft\Today\112 (the 112 might be a different number depending on the phone, but look for one that has a ‘default’ value set to ‘Calendar’)
- If you want the soft button to say ‘OtO’ or ‘Organizer’ change the ‘default’ value accordingly.
- Change the value ‘Open’ from “\Windows\Calander.exe†to “\Program Files\OtO\OtO.exeâ€Â, or whatever the path is to your installation of OtO. Make sure to enclose the path in “QUOTES†or it will not work!
(Thanks travisn000 for this)
